About Us

We are here, in the cyberspace sense of the word, because we are hoping this blog will help lead more children to our family. We know that our family needs more babies to love, and we are excited to have our family grow through adoption for the second time. We hope if you or someone you know is considering the options for their child, you will keep reading and find out more about us.

We love our both of our boys so dearly, and we know how strong the connection to a child is. We would want a child that is placed with us to know of his or her heritage, and to not just know of their birth parent or parents, but to know them, as much as is wanted by the birth parents. We have been able to have this kind of relationship with Simon's birth mother, and we are so glad! We would hope to work together to find a level of openness that would be comfortable for all of us. We have faith and experience in the ways that life really does work out for the best: despite it's ups and downs, when we follow our hearts. We pray for you as you follow yours.

The Story of Us

We met in high school, where we had a bunch of fun mutual friends. We had an instant connection to each other, and we became very good friends. We both graduated high school and started the college journey. We started dating during our early years of college, and were married a year and a half later in the St. George LDS Temple.

The first years of our marriage were so much fun. We were dirt poor, trying to figure out what we wanted to be when we grew up, and very in love. We spent some time away from our home town for school, and while we were there we decided we wanted to start a family.

Frankie, our biological son, came the next year. We had moved back home, and within minutes of being born Frankie had already met so many family and friends. He instantly brought so much joy with him, and he has continued to do so.

When Frankie was 19 months old, and we had just settled into our new home, we decided to try and have another baby. After a year, we sought some medical help, but we still were not able to conceive.

In 2010 Sarah became ill and was diagnosed with Lupus, a disease where the immune system attacks the body. Her Lupus is now in remission and she is in wonderful health. We are even more conscious of our lifestyle and habits than we used to be to make sure we stay healthy. Because of the medications she takes to keep the Lupus in remission, it is not recommended that Sarah undergo a pregnancy.

We were not sure about adoption at first, and it took us a lot of thought and prayer before we decided to pursue the path. Once we began the process we felt such a great peace, and we were so blessed to have the miracle of Simon come into our lives in 2013. We met his birth mother, Brenna, for the first time just a few weeks before he was born. We love her and her family so much and we're grateful that Simon will be able to know and love them as well. About our Family

We don't just love each other, we like each other, too. We are a bit silly, sometimes breaking out into spontaneous songs or chasing each other around. We love to make each other laugh. We love a quiet night at home together just as much as we love an adventurous trip. In our home are games of indoor soccer, dodge ball, and Uno. We like good conversation, music, and being outside. Although we don't share the same hobbies, we have always enjoyed supporting one another in our interests, and becoming educated about each other's pursuits.

Jeremy is a Paramedic, and the team leader for our local hospital's ambulance transport team. He just obtained his Bachelors degree, and is working on his master's degree. He also plans on applying for Physician's Assistant school this year. He loves to play basically any sport, but his favorites are sand volleyball and rock climbing. He loves fishing and camping and being outside in general.

Sarah works part time from home as an Architectural Draftsman, she works most of her hours while Simon naps and Frankie is at school, or when they are both asleep at night. She spends the majority of hours while they are awake being a mother. She is a fine artist and a pianist. She loves to create, whether through painting or floral design. She also loves to hike, read, garden, and travel.

Frankie is our eight year old and second grader. He is an aspiring scientist, box architect, Minecraft master, and explorer of the world in general. His favorite things in the world are holidays, bugs, dinosaurs, sea animals, and video games. Frankie is such a happy, good boy. Every day he makes us laugh and helps us learn something new. We never imagined we would know so much about insects and many other of the world's slimy creatures. Frankie loves being a big brother, something he wished and prayed for.

Simon is our bundle of love and destruction, and is almost 2 years old. He is an energetic toddler who is extremely intelligent and forgets almost nothing. His favorite things have wheels, but he is picky about the variety and specifically likes motorcycles, atv's, jeeps, and trucks. He also loves playing ball, constantly loving on our 2 very patient cats, and he is always hoping to be with his Daddy. We are all so in love with Simon and grateful every day that he is part of our family.

About Jeremy by Sarah

The day I knew I loved Jeremy was the day I saw him playing with children. When I think of us having more kids, my mind goes to Jeremy. I always wish for more children so that they can experience having him as their Father. Jeremy loves whole-heartedly. He is loyal, valiant and true.

He can be good at anything. Sometimes it makes me mad. But if he sets his mind to it, he will excel at it, end of story. I have loved watching him find his passion for emergency medicine. It makes me happy to know he has found something that he truly enjoys. He is an amazing Father. He is so patient and kind with our boys and they adore him. He will come in and save the day if I am feeling frustrated, and soon we will all be laughing instead.

About Sarah by Jeremy

When I met Sarah, we were still in high school. I loved her quick wit, her genuine care for others, and the ability to always make me smile. Sarah is my best friend.

Sarah is a brilliant artist. I love watching her create, whether it be painting on a canvas or arranging a bridal bouquet, she has always amazed me with her ability to make things beautiful. She's the best mother a child could ask for. She spends time making holiday decorations with the boys, having dance parties and making special mac'n'cheese for lunch. She is always willing to try new things, and that keeps our lives full of adventure.
