It's about the time of year for my big Frankie post. But for now, 2 great Frankie stories:
We have a set of walkie talkies bequeathed to us by the office. (Remember when everyone didn't have a cell phone?) Last weekend they were Frankie's obsession of the moment. He brought them to my Mom's house, then left one with Grandpa and went to Laurie's. I was practicing the piano to play at Jarek's baptism later that day when my Dad brought me the walkie talkie and said "your son says he needs to tell you something."
I kept hearing it beep, and static. So I'm trying to tell him to make sure he holds down the button and try again, and asking him what he needed to tell me. Finally, Laurie gets on, and through her laughter tells me that Frankie's important piece of information for me was "nothing." He was literally whispering "nothing" into the walkie-talkie.
Later that night Frankie and my Dad found all of my Dad's old walkie talkie's and set them to the same channel as my Dad's. I think they had eight in total, my Dad was as excited as Frankie. As we drove home he talked to Grandpa for as long as he could.
Story number two just happened. Frankie had been in bed for a solid hour, when we could hear him upstairs. I was doing Tae-Bo so Jeremy checked on him, it sounded a bit like he was crying. Jerm came down and informed me that Frankie was in his bed singing a rousing rendition of "I'm proud to be and American." When Jerm told him he needed to go to sleep, he said "but it's a good song, Dad!"
A few pictures. Heaven knows there must be pictures.
Frankie's chosen comfy outfit one day. I think we went somewhere with him dressed like this. Because we are awesome.
Cousin Sophie has been to visit us a few times. Tell me this kid doesn't need a baby sister or brother. He loves holding her. This day she was just starting to wake up, but after he held her she slept for 20 more minutes.
